Lana Wachowski was given the Oscar in Best Animated Feature for “The Matrix” for her extraordinary feat of visual storytelling in a 3-D animated feature

In an interview with The New York Times, Lana Wachowski said that she feels like she left “Matrix” behind after the divorce with her husband, Walt Monoger. “I love him so much, and now I think that I need to escape from the way that my life is now,” she said. “I’m not saying that all of my personal life is perfect, but I didn’t go through divorces with my husband or my parents.”

Burton has revealed that he and Wachowski ended their eight-year marriage in a very ‘romantic’ way, calling the two lovebirds’ divorce ‘the best thing that ever happened to me.’

The actor and his wife were together for more than a decade before they got hitched in 2005.
