Actor and activist Harry Hamlin is facing backlash from his wife, actress Kristin Chenoweth, who is publicly speaking out in defense of her husband’s actions after photos surfaced of him posing as a baby with his daughter on a pool table.

Kristin wrote in a lengthy Facebook post: “Harry Hamlin is a talented artist… He is also a good father and grandfather. He would NEVER put his child at risk through drunkenness or poor judgment.”

Chenoweth, a star of the reality series “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” added several more details to her original comments that seemed to back up the actor’s protestations. She wrote: “He is a good father and grandfather. In fact, I like him a lot. He just doesn’t put his daughter in that situation. If anything, he shows her the right way to do it.”

Chenoweth also defended Hamlin’s position as a father, noting that he does not have to take care of his child.

“It is not my place to tell him what to do,” the actress wrote. “He has the right to make his own decisions. I love Harry and he is a very strong and loving father. He knows how to be a good dad! He knows how to protect his daughter and he is there to help her with whatever she needs.”

A video of Hamlin with the baby was posted on the actor’s Facebook page and has since been removed, but The Smoking Gun posted an earlier version of the video that is available here.

Hamlin, 46, is the son of an ex-football star who also starred in the original
